Buzz, Buzz: Monmouth University will be buzzing this weekend, as grassroots activists stream in from all over NJ for the arrival of the national DFA Training Academy. Are you coming?

Fast-paced, stimulating, and fun, the DFA Training brings together some of the best political strategists in the country to work alongside NJ activists as they sharpen their skills to take back the White House, forge a solid blue Congress, and elect good progressives right here at home.

Sharpen your skills: Field planning & targeting, volunteer recruitment, issues organizing, fundraising strategies, media, how to run canvasses & phonebanks, call time for candidates, precinct organizing, GOTV, event planning, and message development are among the skills covered.

New Jersey Presidential Caucus
Tuesday, 20 November 2007

Friday, December 7th - Roselle Park, NJ - A coalition of the state's leading Democratic activist and constituency groups -- including NJ for Democracy, Blue Jersey, New Jersey's Democratic Future, BlueWave, and many others hosted a Presidential Caucus to poll the pulse of NJ Democrats now less than 2 months away from our Presidential Primary on Feb. 5th.

 

NJ Caucus gets coverage on NBC

The Event Featured:
- 2-hours open-house-style with info tables for each candidate
- Surrogate Speakers for Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Biden, Kucinich & Richardson
- Following the speakers, an Iowa-style caucus

 

The first two rounds of voting eliminated Biden, Clinton, and Richardson - there were no votes for Dodd or Gravel.

After 3 rounds of caucusing, the final results were:
1. Edwards 43%
2. Obama 38%
3. Kucinich 19%
