| Join NJCA
and a coalition of New Jersey leaders and organizations on May 2, 2007
from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm on the steps of the Trenton Statehouse. Tell
President Bush it is time to bring our troops home safely and end the
war in Iraq.
It is likely the President will fulfill his pledge to veto The Iraq
Accountability Act - the first legislation that sets responsible
timetables to bring our troops safely out of Iraq - tomorrow, May 1,
2007. By vetoing this legislation, President Bush will not only show
complete disregard for the will of the American people, but will also
place our troops in danger by leaving them in the middle of a civil war
in Iraq.
On Wednesday, May 2, 2007 NJ Citizen Action (NJCA), Coalition for Peace
Action (CFPA), and Americans Against Escalation in Iraq (AAEI) are
convening an Emergency Rally to speak out against the President's veto
from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on the Steps of the Trenton State House, 125
W. State Street, Trenton, NJ.
A broad coalition of NJ leaders, religious organizations, labor unions,
veterans, community associations, and peace groups will come together
to respond to the President's veto. We hope you will join us.
