Voting is Closed, and the Results Are In!
Tuesday, 22 November 2005
Well, our online Senate poll ran for 1 week, and with 872 votes cast, Acting Governor Dick Codey finished with 253 votes, Rep. Rush Holt came in second with 225 votes, and Rep. Frank Pallone came in third with 132 votes. No other choice reached 100 votes, although Bruce Springsteen ("the political? Boss") received multiple write-in votes, along with Rep. John Murtha, Senator Bill Bradley, and others.

For full poll results click here.

So, what does it all mean? Our poll was unique because it did not permit "freeping" (stuffing the ballot box), as only one vote was permitted to be cast per ISP address. Now, the questions: Do you think these results portray an accurate snapshot of the preferences of NJ's progressive voters?

You are entering the spin zone - let the opinions begin!
