Yes - checks should be payable to "New Jersey for
Democracy" and mailed to:

2. Is
there a minimum and maximum I can give?
The maximum an individual can give each year is $7,200.
There is no minimum.
3. Can
my business or partnership write a check to NJ for Democracy?
Yes - a corporation, association, union, CPC or other
group can also give $7,200 each year, although there are certain restrictions in
the banking and insurance industries.
4.
Can I ask other people to write checks?
Yes - as long as the money is coming from their own
funds, and made payabe to "New Jersey for Democracy."
5.
Is there a place I can send my friends to see what we're
doing with the contributions we get?
Yes- Contributions and expenditures are reported in public filings
that can be accessed on the NJ Election Law Enforcement Commission's website -
www.elec.state.nj.us
6. Are
there going to be dues to belong to NJ for Democracy now?
Nominal dues - $10 for a full year membership - will
only be required of those individuals seeking to have full voting privileges to
select future officers of the organization.

Should I contribute to NJ for Democracy now instead of
DFA?
Although New Jersey for Democracy and DFA remain
coalition partners, they are not legally related entities. The decision to
contribute to one or the other or both is yours.

What's the financial relationship between DFA and NJ for
Democracy?
There is no financial relationship between DFA and NJ
for Democracy.
9.
Can I have a fundraising event to benefit NJ for
Democracy?
Absolutely. Please contact the Fundraising Chair to
coordinate.
10.
Do I have to file anything with the government if I
contribute?
No. Filing responsibilities are required of NJ for
Democracy, but not its individual donors. Political contributions are not tax
deductible.
11.
Does this mean that my local meetup can raise money for
itself now?
